When you’re flying, are you all about the window seat or the aisle seat?

I’m definitely a window seat person. I like to look out the window as the plane takes off & lands. I also like being able to adjust the lighting in case I want to nap during the flight!

How would you spend an afternoon in a new city?

I would ideally be sightseeing & eating lots of yummy new foods, but in reality I would probably be having tons of fun frantically googling how to get around because I have an awful sense of direction and get lost really easily…

Outside of Young Pipeliners, I’m passionate about…

I really love volunteering and giving back to the community! I’ve been volunteering with the TD Read With Me Program at the Calgary Public Library for the past 2 years and it’s been so rewarding seeing my reading buddy grow into a more confident reader! I learn so much from her every time we meet up. I’ve also been volunteering with GlobalFest and have been doing holiday gift wrapping with Cystic Fibrosis Canada for the past 10 years. I just love helping, learning, and meeting new people!

What new or rediscovered hobbies are you doing while practicing social distancing?

I have gotten really into baking cookies. There were a couple of months where I would bake cookies every week and would drop them off for my friends & family. I decided to take a break (it was in the best interest for their health… there is SO much butter in baking), but I’ve been finding new recipes I want to try and will be back at it again soon.

The best advice you’ve ever received?

Things will work out. I’m someone who worries a lot about everything, but I’ve found that things have a way of working themselves out in the long run.
