YEIP Recognizes: International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination
March 21
International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually to highlight the global need to take action against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance. The day commemorates the 1960 Sharpeville massacre in South Africa and calls on people worldwide to unite in promoting equality, human rights, and mutual understanding among all races and ethnicities.
