“Brenda spends much of her professional life at the centre of one of the hottest issues in Canada today: pipeline infrastructure.  Heading up an association whose members are responsible for moving 97% of the oil and gas produced in Canada, her job includes promoting health, safety and environmental performance in the pipeline industry.  It’s just one of challenges that this dynamic business leader has taken on. Having launched her career at the Welding Institute of Canada, Brenda went on to earn a Doctorate in Resources and the Environment and a Masters of Mechanical Engineering.  She is an adjunct professor at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and serves on the boards of U of C and the Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation.

Brenda Kenny is President and CEO of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) where she works with industry partners and stakeholders to achieve positive safety and environmental outcomes, and engage on matters of trust and social license. Brenda has extensive experience in energy regulation, sustainability and strategy development including a number of years in executive leadership with the National Energy Board.

Brenda is an adjunct professor in the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. She serves on the Boards of the University of Calgary, and the Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation. Brenda is also a Canadian Academy of Engineering Fellow, a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has been active in a variety of boards and community groups. She holds a Doctorate in Resources and the Environment, a Masters of Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelors of Applied Science.”
