YEIP Recognizes: Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15
Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration in the U.S. that occurs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, while in Canada, the month of October is designated as Latin American Heritage Month. During this month, we celebrate the history and culture of all people descended from Spanish speaking communities. This celebration also coincides with the independence of several Latin American countries, including Mexico Independence day on Sept. 16.
We honour the history, contributions and achievements of all Hispanics and Latinos. Together, let’s shine a spotlight on the unique voices and experiences of Hispanics and Latinos who have contributed to North America’s success.
