YPAC April Update

Good day Young Pipeliners,

Your YPAC Committee has been busy the past month with planning future events including field trips and our industry speaker series in both Edmonton and Calgary.  Come May 1, the YPAC committee will roll out our sponsorship package to industry in hopes of gaining valuable funds to help progress our association and the professional development of our members.  On April 4th, YPAC held it’s bi-annual Strategic Planning session with committee members from both Edmonton and Calgary.  The afternoon was a huge success and a lot of valuable feedback came out of the session.  There’s a lot to think about when planning the future direction of any organization, so in the coming weeks YPAC will be surveying our members to gain a better perspective of what they want from YPAC.  Please take the 5-10 minutes to do the survey as the future direction of YPAC will be shaped by the input we receive from our valued members.

From the Strategic Planning Session our Mission Statement has been updated to the following:

Mission

  • Be a Canada-wide network of professionals focused on attracting and retaining young people to the pipeline industry
  • Provide opportunities for young individuals to learn the breadth and depth of the industry
  • Facilitate passing knowledge from mature to young pipeliners, and, as a result, build a positive future for Canada’s pipeline industry

Have a nice weekend,

YPAC
