ROSEN – Fundamentals of the Management of Geohazards During Operations
July 22 - July 23
$1000
This 16 hour course provides practical guidance on identifying and evaluating geohazards affecting operational pipelines, in alignment with ISO 20074:2019.
Led by Andy Young and Rebecca Senior, the course focuses on the key role that in-line inspection (ILI) techniques play in the identification and assessment of hazards and in providing essential input data for the evaluation of the pipeline integrity. ILI offers precise measurement data to determine whether a pipeline has experienced unexpected external loads and the activity state of ground movement threats. Participants will learn about the main types of geohazards that affect pipelines, how pipelines are loaded and fail due to geohazards, and how a management process built around ILI can be used to protect pipelines.
What You Will Learn:
• Introduction to Geohazards
• Types of Geohazards
• Geohazard Management
• Geohazard Identification
• Geohazard Evaluation
• Geohazard Control
• Data Analytics & Machine Learning
